The lovely local poet Katrina Naomi has just popped in to the shop to sign copies of her wonderful new book of poetry, ‘Wild Persistence’.
Following her move from London for a life in Cornwall her new collection references this new life. Cornwall is not seen as picture-box pretty but from the perspective of a dedicated walker, someone who relishes the outdoors, and as an environmentalist. Signed copies now in stock. .
Our first day open since the lockdown for ‘orders and collection’ has been a delight – obviously there were computer problems and half of the book industry isn’t working yet but we will get there.
Happily, by far the majority of orders we received today were for books that unpick and explain racism in all its forms. Hurrah for all you lovely people. Black Lives Matter, let’s build a better world.
We have been spending a lot of time together and we need to see all you lovely people again! We are open for collections today and from Monday we will be open for browsing too. Phone or email orders if you would prefer not to come in. Stay safe and (sane if you can!)
